RadPRO® OMNERA® 50 Veterinary Digital Radiographic System Delivers a Total Imaging Solution, Allowing Veterinarians to Affordably Convert to High-Quality Digital Imaging
MELVILLE, N.Y. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — January 12, 2016 — Our animal companions sometimes develop injuries or health conditions that are not easily detectable to the human eye and diagnosing the cause of their discomfort can be challenging. Understanding that the proper medical equipment is essential to diagnosis, Virtual Imaging, a wholly owned subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, is proud to introduce the RadPRO1 OMNERA 50 Veterinary Digital Radiographic System. Visitors to the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) Conference, taking place January 17-20 in Orlando, Florida, can see the new system at booth #622.
As the first veterinary radiographic system to join the Virtual Imaging RadPRO product portfolio of healthcare solutions, the RadPRO OMNERA 50 System features a Canon CXDI-501G flat panel detector, helping to deliver high-resolution imaging with low-radiation exposure to patients. The RadPRO OMNERA 50 Veterinary Digital Radiographic System features a compact, space-saving design to provide powerful detection capability without crowding the exam room.
“Virtual Imaging and Canon U.S.A. are dedicated to providing high-quality, affordable digital radiographic solutions, not only to the human healthcare field, but also to the veterinary field,” said Tsuneo Imai, president, Virtual Imaging, Inc., and vice president and general manager, Healthcare Solutions Division, Business Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A., Inc. “From companion animals to exotics, from avians to pocket pets, the RadPRO OMNERA 50 Veterinary Digital Radiographic System can help today’s veterinarian get the quick, high-quality radiographic images they depend on.”
A More Immediate Diagnosis
Driven by Canon DR technology, high-quality X-ray images are delivered faster than conventional film or CR systems, allowing images to be previewed within approximately three seconds after exposure, helping to reduce exam time and unnecessary patient repositioning. If another exposure is required, the rapid refresh cycle allows the next image to be captured quickly, reducing the chance of patient movement.
Imaging with Low X-ray Dose
The CXDI-501G flat panel detector integrates the Canon Large Area New Metal-Insular Semiconductor and TFT (LANMIT) X-ray image sensor, a digital radiography device enabling high-resolution medical image data to be acquired with a low radiation dose.
Solution Designed to Help Save Time
In emergency diagnosis situations, every second counts and solutions that minimize workflow tasks and help save time are critical to treatment. The RadPRO OMNERA 50 System is packaged with easy-to-use software and an anatomically programmed, high-frequency generator to help veterinarians obtain images quickly and efficiently the first time.
