PCI Geomatics to Hold User Group Meeting in Ottawa, Canada

MARKHAM, Ontario, Canada - January 7, 2016:PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of remote sensing and photogrammetric software and systems, will be holding a User Group Meeting in Ottawa, Canada on February 4th, 2016.

The free event will bring together the PCI Geomatics User Community from Ottawa and the surrounding regions, and is open to all. Presentations will cover new technology that has been developed by PCI Geomatics for extracting high resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEMs), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Automated Historical Image Processing and new Python based developer tools.

In addition to new technology that will be highlighted, a special Educational Showcase session is planned that will recognize the work being done by students and researchers and their contributions to advance the field of Remote Sensing.

The event will also serve as the launch for the new PCI Geomatics Developer Zone, a dedicated web site and destination to learn about using the Geomatica Python API and developing workflows for different geospatial applications.

“We look forward to meeting with our customers, this event will provide a great opportunity to hear about any challenges they face, and how we can continue to improve our software to meet their needs”, said Arnold Hougham, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at PCI Geomatics. “Several of our key staff will be present to help answer questions, the event will provide a great opportunity to meet with and exchange valuable information with customers and partners.”

The event will be held at the Sala San Marco, at 215 Preston Street – the doors will open at 8.30 AM. There is no cost for the event however registration is required as a light breakfast and lunch will be served to those attending.
