In 2013, Josef relocated from Hawaii to Los Angeles and has since been a featured artist in prominent publications that include Huffington Post, Examiner, JustLuxe and In Hollywood Magazine. In July 2015, Josef's Los Angeles Premiere Art Show was a full house, 3-night event that showcased works from her new Squarism series, Journal of a Women in Love, and Mixed Media Collage pieces from her iconic Pop Collage collection, inspired by Warhol and Basquiat's collaboration period.
Before moving to Los Angeles, Josef's original work showed at various other exhibits that include Brick House, Pauahi Tower, Manifest and In4mation (HI), and Belux Melrose and Millard Sheets Galleries (CA). She was also featured in the Honolulu Weekly and Innov8 Magazine, and has completed a number of private commission pieces for select clients.
Josef graduated from the Interior Design program at The Art Institute of Seattle and went on to a successful corporate career as an Event Developer at Duty Free/DFS and Account Executive for Lancome and Benefit Cosmetics before pursuing her art full-time. Today, Josef has resumed her career as a professional artist and paints full-time from her studio in West Hollywood, CA.
On November 13, 2015, Josef will participate in a Group Pop Up at ArtShare LA, "How to Read a Painting." Josef will be showcasing her SQUARISM style. For this show, Josef created pieces that evoke an emotional experience relocating from Hawaii to LA.
