In its third year, Buffer Festival has established itself as a global stage on which content creators have the opportunity to promote their current projects and announce new ones. It allows them to enjoy an engaging and interactive platform where they can sit among their audience and share in moments of discovery. This year, screenings will be themed across 12 different categories, including: Music, Short Films, Comedy, LGBT+, Science and Education, Gaming and Animation, and more.
"Each year I am amazed at the creativity and the calibre of videos that are submitted to Buffer Festival and I am so proud to provide the YouTubers with the opportunity to receive the attention they deserve," says Corey Vidal, Creative Director of Buffer Festival. "I'm so excited to be part of this project, one that unites fans, creators and brands that I feel privileged to be associated with."
Over the past three years, Buffer Festival has set itself apart as the leading industry event that curates the best new online content that YouTube has to offer. It is a festival where not only is new content premiered, but where relationships and collaborations are forged. Fans also have the opportunity to screen some of the most anticipated YouTube videos before they are available online; this year that includes content from YouTubers such as Matthew Santoro, JusReign, Sawyer Hartman and PJ Liguori. Additionally, the largely anticipated red carpet gala will have all the YouTube personalities of Buffer Festival in attendance, and will be held on October 23, 2015 at Roy Thomson Hall.
Buffer Festival's audience has grown exponentially over the years, with over 10,000 tickets sold last year and a much larger crowd expected for 2015. Tickets are now on sale and attendees can buy tickets for single shows in advance for $20.00.
