Enhanced Persistent ID Support Announced for CATIA V5 and NX Modules
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. Sept. 15, 2015 – CCE, a leading provider in advanced interoperability technology and engineering services, has released updates of its Open Data Exchange (ODX) libraries.
“CCE’s latest release of the ODX toolkit provides our ISV customers the ability to seamlessly embed their solutions in their customer’s multi-CAD work flow,” said Vinay Wagle, CCE’s VP of Sales & Marketing. “This is facilitated by ODX’s support for Persistent ID for all major CAD systems,” added Vinay.
CCE’s CATIA V5 and NX ODX libraries underwent significant improvements, in both functionality and performance, in the most recent release. Among the key updates is enhanced support for Persistent IDs, thereby allowing ISVs greater control over their associative interface workflows. A significant amount of leading CAD ISV’s use persistence information, provided by CCE’s ODX libraries, to create associative interfaces, including Autodesk with its AnyCAD technology. CCE has also extended its support for reading material information, stored in CATIA V5, by directly accessing native . CATMaterial file type. In addition, CCE has kept pace with advancements towards creating a Model Based Enterprise (MBE) by giving ISVs the opportunity to create rich, annotated, 3D data by enhancing its NX libraries to now write additional PMI information, such as labels and notes; it already has the ability to read and write other PMI data.

About Open Data Exchange (ODX):
Open Data Exchange (ODX) libraries read & write Native CAD data. File formats that are currently supported for ODX include CATIA V4, CATIA V5, CATIA V6, NX, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, Pro/ENGINEER (PTC Creo®), JT, Solid Edge, Parasolid, IGES, STEP, 3D PDF, VDA, & STL. Applications developed using ODX libraries are independent of CAD. The libraries written in C & C++ are easy to implement & follow software releases via continuous updates. Apart from licensing the library components, we also provide integrations services to integrate our libraries into customer applications. The true benefit of using our ODX libraries is the reduced cost to the user. Our ODX libraries do not require CAD software or licenses, which can be quite costly. ODX gives the user the ability to read & write native CAD files without the cost of ownership associated with the CAD system.
