Avineon Hosts Webinar on Business Intelligence for ArcGIS

McLean, Virginia, Aug 4, 2015 – Avineon, Inc. (Avineon), a global provider of information technology, geospatial, and engineering support services, is hosting a free webinar to show ArcGIS users how to gain better understanding of the data in their geodatabase through business analytics. The webinar will focus on applying automated data monitoring and trending tools with the Avineon Metrics Extension™ to ArcGIS for Server product.

The free 30-minute webinar will be held live at 11:30 am EDT on August 11 and 25, 2015.

“The Metrics Extension gives ArcGIS users greater visibility into their enterprise geodatabase by revealing trends in their ever changing data,” said Joel Campbell, Avineon Vice President of Commercial Systems.

The Metrics Extension enhances the value and usability of GIS data in ArcGIS by creating a spatial data warehouse in which key business metrics can be created and stored for historical reporting and trend analysis. It computes and stores metrics such as quantity, length, or area of coverage for a specified feature at a point in time. This extension enables historical reporting, advanced visualization, and analytics for internal use by managers or for external consumption by customers or constituents.

This webinar should be attended by GIS managers and executives who can benefit from receiving automated reports on geospatial data changes over specific time periods or in certain spatial areas.

Attendees will learn how to:

  • create a spatial data warehouse within the ArcGIS geodatabase,
  • improve productivity by monitoring trends,
  • track growth by identifying and quantifying infrastructure change by district or jurisdiction, and
  • enhance quality control through better understanding of the changes happening in the geodatabase.
