Jul 1, 2015 -- Easy-to-use state-level imagery mosaics are made possible with the comprehensive ortho aerial photos available from the USDA National Agriculture Imagery Program (NAIP) and through the wider collaborations in acquisition, storage and processing. Instead of using hundreds of thousands of the original NAIP imagery tiles, the uniquely-processed state-level mosaics are being offered at 1m-resolution for 48 continental U.S. States. This imagery product features:
• One state, one imagery mosaic – extremely easy to use and manage in GIS mapping software
• See the big picture and the detail
• Consistent 1m-resolution under the popular WGS 84 Web Mercator projection
• Latest and complete NAIP imagery series from 2014 & 2013 seasons
• ~120 Terabytes of processed data in raw binary and ~5.5 Terabytes in compressed JPEG2000 format
• Complementary to the existing small-sized county-level mosaics
• Both natural color (RGB) and color infrared (CIR) mosaics available
A report about the processing and specifications for each of the 48 state-level mosaics is available at
