Madison, AL – GeoCue Group, Inc. is now offering Online Training courses for the LP360point cloud data processing product suite.Offered courses will cover a variety of topics appealing to a broad range of users of various skill levels. Each course will be a hands on, interactive instructor led training session focused on a particular workflow or topic.

The first session, How to QA/QC LIDAR Data Using LP360, is scheduled for late June.This course is designed for anyone receiving LIDAR data to be able to determine that the data being delivered is within specification by using the quality assessment tools in LP360. This coursewill also be helpful to those who are writing specifications to procure LIDAR data. A second offering of this course will occur in July.

The August session, Introduction to Breaklines,familiarizes userswith the LP360 breakline and conflation tools commonly used to enforce breaklines for cartographic DEM production, as outlined in the USGS LIDAR Base Specification. Using a provided LIDAR data set, attendees will learn the basics of constructing and enforcing breaklines. Pre-training exercises will be provided to all participants in advance. A license of ArcGIS is required for this session and will need to be provided by the attendee.

Spaces to these events are limited to 4 attendees per session. Registration fee is $225 per registrant. These online courses will be a convenient alternative to those with time or travel restrictions. We see these courses as complementary to our Annual and On-site Customer Training by increasing your LP360 skill level and in turn increasing the benefit of the Annual or on-site training venues you are able to attend.
