STEP, IGES and PLMXML Writers Now Supported
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Jun. 09, 2015) -- CCE, a leading provider in advanced interoperability technology and engineering services, has released an update of its Unified Interop for Parasolid (UIOp) libraries.
“The latest release of UIOp libraries includes ability to export standard formats, STEP and IGES. This provides comprehensive plug-and-play data exchange abilities to Parasolid-based CAD/CAM/CAE systems where not only can they read multi-CAD data with a single API, but also export data for bi-directional data exchange,” said Vinay Wagle, CCE’s VP of Sales & Marketing.
Some of the key enhancements in the latest build of UIOp include:
General Architecture

STEP and IGES writers have been added to the framework.

Option has been added to write out assembly structure to a PLMXML file, with the underlying geometry as Parasolid or STL files.
CATIA V5 translator

CATIA V5-6R2015 parts & assemblies are now supported.

Annotation entities are now grouped under a single head in order to enable applications to display them as-is in the feature tree.

Axis entities are now supported.
SOLIDWORKS translator

Support for flexible sub-assemblies has been added.

Virtual components in assemblies are now supported.

Face names support has been extended to SOLIDWORKS 2011 & 2012 version files.
Creo translator

Sketch entities are now processed in order to enable applications to display them as-is in the feature tree.

Component blanked status is now provided.
NX translator

NX 10.0 parts & assemblies are now supported.

Support for flexible sub-assemblies has been added.
JT translator

JT 10.0 files are now supported.
