Richmond, VA – May 26, 2015 – The state of Oklahoma Commissioners of the Land Office (CLO) contracted with Timmons Group to develop and implement an Enterprise GIS to support their land and mineral lease management. The new system will be based on Esri version 10.3 software and leverages Oklahoma’s ArcGIS Online Organizational Account.
Timmons Group will provide a solution for CLO including new software, data acquisition and maintenance workflows, integration services, custom python management tools, real-time field tools, and ultimately a public-facing portal. New workflows and field tools will provide timely and accurate information to the public regarding surface leases, for grazing or wind power, and subsurface leases for activities such as Oil and Gas Exploration Activity.
“It has been a pleasure working cohesively with Timmons Group on this initiative,” said Ed Reyes, Director of IT for the State of Oklahoma Commissioners of the Land Office. “We hope that this new system will make our current work processes even more efficient.”
In the field, ArcGIS Collector will be configured and implemented in new CLO workflows to improve the spatial accuracy of the data and provide real time updates through ArcGIS Online. The project will provide lease management augmentation, integration with existing CLO systems, as well as spatial representation of Trust Lands for CLO management and Oklahoma state officials.
