In addition, designers can now configure their own implementation accurate virtual model of the Cortex-A72 on Carbon's IP Exchange web portal.
"Our growing portfolio of CPAKs and the new Cortex-A72 virtual model offers designers a wide range of accurate solutions easily downloadable from our system and IP web portals," notes Bill Neifert, Carbon's chief technical officer.
Ten newly released CPAKs featuring the Cortex-A72 are available in numerous configurations, ranging from single processor configurations with an ACE-Lite connection to a four-cluster configuration connected using CHI and an ARM Corelink CCN-504. These reference systems contain configuration and benchmark software in source code form to enable productivity within minutes of download. All CPAKs can be modified easily or extended to accurately represent actual system configurations.
"Carbonized IP models, including the ARM Cortex-A72, play a crucial role in the development and validation of our next-generation on-chip interconnect fabric IP," states Dave Parry, vice president of engineering at Arteris, developer of network on chip (NOC) IP. "CPAKs enable us to rapidly validate multiple system configurations and expose problems that would be difficult to find using traditional methods."
