Annual intelligence event offers unparalleled education, training, and networking opportunities for the entire Community
Herndon, VA, March 26, 2015 — The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF) announced registration is open at www.geoint2015.com for its GEOINT 2015 Symposium, the largest intelligence event of the year. GEOINT 2015 takes place June 22-25 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in downtown Washington, D.C.
Hosted and produced by USGIF, the annual GEOINT Symposium gathers the defense, intelligence, and homeland security communities as well as other users and producers of geospatial information, services, products, and solutions. This year marks the first time the GEOINT Symposium will be held in the nation’s capital. The GEOINT 2015 theme is “Opening the Aperture: Charting New Paths,” and the D.C. location allows USGIF to bring into the program local attendees and exhibitors who may not otherwise travel to the symposium, and open their eyes to the Foundation’s broad view of geospatial intelligence.
To best gather all geospatial stakeholders, USGIF offers complimentary Symposium registration and exhibit hall access to federal government employees (excluding contractors), active-duty military, state and local government representatives and employees, and all law enforcement, firefighters, and other first responders.
GEOINT 2015 will feature 80 hours of dedicated professional development, training, and education. All of this year’s training and education sessions are accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET). Participants will receive 0.2 Continuing Education Units per session. The GEOINT 2015 Symposium also offers the pre-symposium GEOINT Foreword—a science and technology-focused day held June 22. Please note GEOINT Foreword requires separate registration.
The GEOINT Symposium also features rich networking events. An opening reception at the historic Carnegie Library, golf tournament to fund the USGIF scholarship program, exhibit hall receptions, a family day, and a community outing to a Washington Nationals baseball game will provide tremendous networking with immeasurable returns on investment.
Since 2004, GEOINT Symposia have brought together an exciting agenda of keynote speakers, science and technology sessions, panel discussions, and breakout tracks to provide attendees the unique opportunity to learn from senior leaders and subject matter experts, share best practices, and uncover the latest developments in geospatial intelligence. The mix of community leaders from government, military, industry, and academia, combined with an ever-growing exhibit hall featuring the industry’s top capabilities, brings attendees and exhibitors back year after year.
