HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 26, 2015 — (PRNewswire) — The Los Angeles Film School and Scott Keeney aka "DJ Skee," renowned DJ, television host, producer, and entrepreneur, announced today the formation of a groundbreaking partnership that will commence with the debut of the new television series, SKEE TV on Fuse, which will premier on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 11 pm (ET/PT). The partnership provides for a number of The Los Angeles Film School's graduates joining in the production of each SKEE TV episode. Additionally, current students will have the opportunity to watch the live musical performances that will be filmed on campus at the Ivar Theatre that will feature a lineup of today's top artists.
"We see a huge opportunity to empower this next generation of young creatives, something we at SKEE have always been very passionate about," said Scott "Skee" Keeney, CEO and Founder of Skee TV. "Second, we see this as our time to build a Times Square West marquee studio at the intersection of Sunset & Vine, where cultures collide. The Los Angeles Film School is the perfect partner. They have always been an important entry point for thousands of young creatives and aspiring professionals to get a start in the industry. Now, together, we can bridge the gap between traditional job placements and entrepreneurial spirit while bringing the biggest names in music, and entertainment to the school."
The overarching relationship between DJ Skee and The Los Angeles Film School is centered on providing the school's students with more opportunities to gain hands-on exposure to real-world productions. SKEE TV is just one manifestation of this effort, and additional joint initiatives will be unveiled later this year.
"We take great pride in providing our students and graduates opportunities to gain real-world, industry experiences. One way we do this is through our many industry partnerships," said Diana Derycz-Kessler, President and CEO of The Los Angeles Film School. "Playing host to DJ Skee and his star-studded guests as they film SKEE TV on our campus is the first installment of what we anticipate to be a thriving and growing relationship between The Los Angeles Film School and DJ Skee."
