Oxford, England. March 26, 2015 -- The PLM-IRF
Global Survey into Industrial Expectations for the Future of PLM has passed the "half century" of 50 responses.
As processing of the results began on 26 March, 59 Survey Forms from 12 countries had been returned; and with one or two more still promised the total should reach or surpass 60.
This is an outstanding contribution of PLM expertise. The Survey is not a multiple-choice questionnaire to generate arbitrary percentages - the respondents are faced with 5 empty boxes, one for each question, which they have to fill with their own words. This means that everybody has thought carefully about their answers.
The aim of the Survey is to establish the PLM Practioners' view of the future of manufacturing industry, and the advanced PLM that will be needed to support it. With the views of 60 respondents, ranging from multinational corporations to small service providers and including some of the industry's most respected thought leaders, the Survey may form the basis of a Vision for PLM in 2025 that incorporates the best of new research and fulfilment of industry needs.
The Survey results will be processed over the next few days and should be published shortly after Easter. The latest information is available via the
PLM-IRF web site, or via
Email Contact.
