SoftInWay Launches STU–An Online Turbomachinery Training Resource

Jan 28, 2015 -- SoftInWay Inc., leaders in turbomachinery design and consulting, launched its new official online training center–SoftInWay Turbomachinery University.  SoftInWay Turbomachinery University, or STU, was built from the company’s Learning Center, which was released in beta this past fall. A large amount of interest in the Center led SoftInWay to develop STU- a larger and more user-friendly training hub.

STU consists of a wide variety of learning materials. The turbomachinery training courses, typically only offered in classrooms throughout the world, have been transformed into comprehensive videos that registered users can watch at their own pace. Once all sections and corresponding quizzes are completed, users must pass a final exam in order to receive a certification specific to the course. The course certifications will allow users to market their turbomachinery design capabilities to potential employers or universities.

STU also features a variety of webinar recordings. The webinars cover a wide range of topics including modern engineering trends of turbines, pumps, compressors, and thermodynamic cycles. The webinars also feature live turbomachinery design demonstrations using SoftInWay’s flagship software suites, AxSTREAM and AxCYCLE.

SoftInWay has pushed the site’s teaching capabilities even further by offering a discounted version of the AxSTREAM software to STU users as a course companion. Those who choose to use the sophisticated software will be able to apply their knowledge and practice their design skills with it. “STU will be an extremely convenient and affordable resource for anyone interested in developing their engineering knowledge and abilities,” stated SoftInWay Managing Director, Valentine Moroz.

STU was completely redesigned and is now sleek and easy to navigate. The site develops daily and will continue to grow as new courses and other materials are added. See the new STU website by visiting http://learn.softinway.com.
