January 21, 2015 -- Exprodat, the oil and gas ArcGIS platform specialist, is taking bookings for a range of training courses taking place in London during March; amongst them is the ArcGIS Pro Essentials for Petroleum course, the first course available for oil and gas professionals on Esri’s next generation desktop GIS software.
Exprodat training courses are designed by staff who have real-world experience of working within oil and gas companies and who understand the challenges of these environments. They have created workflows that use Esri’s ArcGIS software in a wide range of common exploration applications so attendees will return to their companies knowing how to integrate spatial and non-spatial data to improve their decision making.
The most recent edition to this suite of courses teaches attendees how to use the essential features of the new ArcGIS Pro. A complimentary release with ArcGIS for Desktop 10.3, ArcGIS Pro is a 64 bit multi-threaded application with a brand new interface and enhanced functionality, including 3D visualisation.
Talking about supporting customers with both classroom based and online courses, Exprodat’s Sales Director Jules Cullen commented “The oil and gas industry is braced for a tough year ahead and training budgets are often the first casualty of cost reduction initiatives. GIS is a great enabler for transforming traditional workflow, improving systems integration and facilitating improved collaboration and decision-making.
Exprodat’s new ArcGIS Pro Essentials course is designed to assist the thousands of geoscientists who have already developed key skills in leveraging the power of ArcGIS through our ArcGIS Essentials for Petroleum course. ArcGIS Pro Essentials for Petroleum courses are available on a classroom or virtual classroom basis – supporting companies who face budget constraints to reduce costs and take advantage of the latest advances in ArcGIS technology”.
