MegaChips Corporation deploys Excellicon products for timing constraints authoring/generation and validation

January 20, 2015 -- Osaka , Japan - Excellicon Inc., an innovative provider of end-to-end Timing Constraints Analysis and Debugging solutions for the automation of constraints authoring, completion, validation, and Management announced that its product were adopted by MegaChips Corp, which is engaged in design, development, manufacturing (outsourcing) and sales of system LSIs, and electronic devices as well as systems products with LSIs manufactured by the Company.

According to Mr. Kobayashi Takeshi, Sr. Engineering Manager; “Accelerating product delivery requires automation in every aspect of SOC design methodology. Excellicon’s solutions targeted at solving complex timing constraints generation, verification and management will help us ensure meeting our aggressive schedules while maintaining high quality products required by our customers. Through automation of timing closure process we can now close timing more effectively and target our activities to minimize iterations and any potential respins. We found the solution offering to be well differentiated from other point tools.”

Excellicon tools are expected to help in increasing the efficiency of the development flow and speed up the verification of timing constraints against actual design database as opposed to performing such tasks in a vacuum.  The adoption of Excellicon tools addresses the issue of manual setup and verification of timing constraints, which can result in unnecessary iterations between design and implementation teams or in MegaChips case the customer and the company.
