Carbon Design Systems to Exhibit at ARM TechCon, Showcasing New Carbon System Exchange Web Portal

ACTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- Sep 24, 2014 --

WHO: Carbon Design Systems® Inc., the leading supplier of accurate virtual prototype solutions

WHAT: Will exhibit at ARM® TechCon in Booth #421, showcasing the newly announced Carbon System Exchange, a web portal enabling greater designer productivity using pre-built virtual prototype systems. Carbon will demonstrate its system-level virtual prototype solutions and virtual prototype models, including Carbon Performance Analysis Kits (CPAKs), pre-built systems or subsystems with software at the bare metal or operating system (O/S) level.

WHERE: Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, Calif.

WHEN: Wednesday, October 1, from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Thursday, October 2, from 10:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Jason Andrews, Carbon's director of Product Engineering, will present "Performance Optimization for an ARM Cortex-A53 System Using Software Workloads and Cycle Accurate Models." His talk will be held Friday, October 3 from 3:30 p.m. until 4:20 p.m. as part of the System Design, Software Development and Optimization Track. Andrews will describe how virtual prototypes can be used to perform system optimization by running bare metal and O/S-level benchmarks on multicore ARM Cortex-A53 systems. He will offer a look at Carbon System Exchange and explain how it can be used for IP selection, IP optimization, subsystem optimization, system bring-up, and system optimization.
