Waltham, MA – Sep 3, 2014 – ETRAGE LLC, the Integration and Automation Company, today announced that a second webinar has been scheduled for the ETRAGE Integration™: PTC® Windchill® – Microsoft® SharePoint® for Tuesday September 9, 2014 at 12:00 noon EST.
“The first Webinar that was held at the end of July was well attended and created a good deal of interest with in the PTC Windchill community that also are using Microsoft SharePoint.” states Ron Zabilski, Director of Sales & Marketing at ETRAGE. “We are scheduling the second webinar for those who are interested but were unable to attend the first,” he continued.
With the recent news of PTC stating that they have discontinued support for Web Parts for SharePoint in Windchill 10.2, the ETRAGE integration solution is positioned to fill this void and provide extended functionality. It provides: the ability to pass key design information from system to system. Users can leverage the ease-of-use of SharePoint and the power of Windchill PLM and can now benefit from a cohesive strategy for distributing data throughout the enterprise. The integration delivers a robust, bidirectional exchange of data between diverse SharePoint and Windchill PLM systems. It can transfer: BOM, drawings, part numbers, attributes and more. The integration automatically detects Lifecycle or Revision changes or at check-in of objects in PTC Windchill.
The Webinar will demonstrate the integration between PTC Windchill and SharePoint for change management with a focus on - bi-directional functionality of sharing data such as:
- Lifecycle State changes,
- Windchill attributes,
- CAD parameters,
- BOMs,
- Viewable files of CAD documents,
- Windchill documents or SharePoint metadata which can be transferred back and forth between the applications.
