IDT Demos Will Show How the Semiconductor Company Helps Develop Complete Ecosystems
SAN JOSE, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — August 27, 2014 — Integrated Device Technology, Inc. ( IDT®) (NASDAQ: IDTI) today announced that it will showcase its leading DDR4 memory interface technology and other key products at Intel Developer Forum 2014, Sept. 9 through 11 at Moscone West in San Francisco. The IDT demos will show how the company’s products are being used to enable complete ecosystems for next-generation server systems.
IDT recently announced that it has shipped over 1 million DDR4 registers, attributing the high figure to the growing demand for a new generation of DRAM modules needed for the coming Intel® Xeon™ processor E5-2600 v3 platform.
“We have been working closely with key customers and partners to develop innovative products and advanced ecosystems that support Intel’s newest generation of servers,” said Sean Fan, vice president and general manager, Interface & Connectivity Division. “In particular, our DDR4 chipsets deliver industry-leading performance at the memory subsystem level and are ideal for meeting the growing demands of the data center market.”
At IDF, IDT will demonstrate how its DDR4 LRDIMM handles bandwidth on a high-memory-intensive application. The demos can be seen at IDT’s DDR4 Memory Community Exhibitor Booth 373 and the Samsung booth 375.
In addition, at its Technology Showcase in booth 464 IDT will provide information on its latest developments in magnetic resonance wireless charging technology.
The company also will demonstrate its:
- High-performance analytics cluster with RapidIO®, which will showcase how the company’s RapidIO switches can be used in high-performance computing system servers to deliver lightning-fast analysis of massive volumes of data.
- Programmable multi-channel power management IC ( PMIC) designed for the Intel® Baytrail Atom™ processor. The IDT P9145, coupled with P9147/48 distributed power units, provides a scalable, programmable, multi-channel power management solution designed to meet high-performance requirements while offering high-feature integration that minimizes system board area and bill-of-materials cost.
- 89HT0832P 16-lane, 8Gbps PCIe® 3.0 retimer, which offers top analog performance, advanced digital processing and diagnostic features. This chip extends 8GTps communication over long PCB traces or cables.
