New Power Switching Programmable Mixed-Signal Matrix

Silego Technology’s 1.6 mm x 2.5 mm GreenPAK SLG46116V and SLG46117V with 1 A MOSFET enable high power soft-start switching with mixed-signal control

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 21, 2014 — Silego Technology announces two new Configurable Mixed-signal ICs (CMICs) in the flagship GreenPAK (GPAK) Family.

Silego’s GPAK family of NVM Programmable Mixed-signal Matrix devices enables innovators to integrate many system functions such as system reset, power sequencing, voltage sensing, interface, and miscellaneous logic while minimizing component count, board space, and power consumption. The SLG46116V and SLG46117V are the first ever GPAK devices to enable 1 A P-Channel MOSFET soft-start power switching, controlled with the versatility and flexibility of a Mixed-signal Matrix, in an incredibly small 1.6 x 2.5 x 0.55 mm 7-GPIO STQFN package. The soft-start power switch in these latest offerings comes with fixed slew rate control, and is available with an integrated discharge path (SLG46117V) or without (SLG46116V). With over a billion CMIC units shipped, Silego Technology continues to provide innovative new products.

Like other devices in the GPAK family, development of SLG46116V and SLG46117V projects takes advantage of the easy-to-use GPAK development hardware and simple GUI interface of GPAK Designer, allowing engineers to quickly and easily implement new designs and respond to changing design requirements.

“Silego’s latest devices provide our customers with great advantages, allowing them to add intelligent power switching functionality to the long list of analog and digital functions provided by GPAK,” said Nathan John, Director of Marketing. “The SLG46116V and SLG46117V further expand the functionality of Silego’s GreenPAK family, offering a portfolio capable of addressing an increasing variety of mixed-signal applications.”

Target Applications include:

  • Consumer Electronics
    • Wearables
    • Portable: Tablets, Smartphones, Notebooks
    • PCs and PC peripherals
  • Commercial and Industrial Electronics
    • Servers
    • Embedded PCs
    • Data Communications Equipment
