Jul 21, 2014 -- In addition to the new Midas 400 MP — aka The Chimera — that was introduced at the most recent ASPRS, Lead’Air is now introducing four new Midas systems with the following configurations:
- The Midas 230 MP uses a Lead’Air Phase One TCAM 80 MP vertical camera and four Nikon D800 36 MP oblique cameras. The medium format vertical camera is suitable for mapping and orthophoto use.
- The Midas 200IR has two Nikon D800 36 MP vertical cameras, one color and one near infrared and four Nikon D800 36 MP oblique cameras. The D800 IR is sensitive to near IR from 720nm up to 900 nm.
- The Helidas is a standard Midas 180 MP five-camera system based on the Nikon D800 36 MP which can be installed with a nose mount on many helicopters (Bell 206, AS350, etc). The installation is FAA approved.
- The Helimera is a Midas 400 MP five-camera system based on the Lead’Air TCAM Phase One 80 MP camera which can be installed with a nose mount on many helicopters (Bell 206, AS350, etc). The installation is FAA approved.
