Belgrade, Serbia – May 15th, 2014 – With the growing need of providing ARM®-based solutions and expertise, HDL Design House has announced the commitment to adopt the ARM Accredited Engineer (AAE) program, which is a global exam-based accreditation program for individuals wishing to demonstrate their knowledge of ARM technology. Having been an ARM Connected Community Partner for years, with more than 30 ARM-based SoC projects executed so far, HDL Design House plans to further strengthen its expertise and knowledge of the ARM Architecture by aligning with the AAE program.
HDL Design House is one of the first companies to adopt the AAE program. Under the terms of this agreement, HDL Design House has committed to training 15 engineers for the AAE exam. The training, which will take place from May 19-21 at HDL Design House development center in Belgrade, will be provided by experienced ARM AAE educators and the 15 HDL DH engineers are expected to take their exams by the end of Q2. In order to obtain the AAE certification, engineers will have to demonstrate a strong knowledge of software aspects of ARMv7-A and ARMv7-R architecture profiles over a broad range of subject areas such as: software development, software debug and optimization, implementation, architecture and system.
“ARM expertise is of utmost importance for a service company, as most of today's SoC are based on ARM CPUs. HDL Design House has been receiving more and more requests from its customers for SoC projects based on the ARM architecture. Adopting the AAE program reflects our commitment to answer to those requests, and thus meet the customers' growing need for in-depth ARM architecture knowledge and expertise.” said Mr Predrag Markovic, HDL Design House CEO.
“The ARM accreditations offer engineers, trainers, consultants and students the opportunity to gain credible evidence and verify their knowledge of ARM technology,” said Daniel Dearing, engineering qualifications manager, ARM. “Adopting the AAE program will help HDL Design House develop, measure and showcase their ARM knowledge to customers around the world.”

About AAE Program:
The ARM Accredited Engineer (AAE) Program is a global accreditation program that allows embedded software engineers to become ARM Accredited Engineers. It provides robust and comprehensive industry-wide accreditations that employers can use as reliable benchmarks for hiring new staff and to measure the success of training and skills development programs. The AAE accreditations allow engineers to stand out from the crowd and demonstrate the skills necessary to successfully design products using the most advanced, power-efficient and high performance microprocessor technology on the market.
The AAE program currently offers two accreditations; the ARM Accredited Engineer exam, focused on software aspects of the ARMv7-A and ARMv7-R architecture profiles, and the ARM Accredited MCU Engineer (AAME) exam, focused on software aspects of the ARMv6-M and ARMv7-M architecture profiles.
