Quebec, QC, Canada, May 14, 2014 – InnovMetric, which celebrates the 20th anniversary of its foundation this year, announced today that it has reached a first in its history by selling annually more than 2000 licenses of the PolyWorks universal 3D metrology software platform, and this for the fiscal year 2013 ending March 31, 2014. Moreover, its sales revenue has increased by 37% compared to fiscal year 2012.
Several elements have contributed to this significant growth of PolyWorks sales:
- Key InnovMetric customers in the automotive and aerospace industries have accelerated the integration of PolyWorks as their standard 3D metrology software platform
- The recent market consolidation that occurred in the 3D metrology software market has dramatically reduced the number of available hardware-neutral software solutions and contributed to reinforcing the market-leading position of PolyWorks
- The market for operator-driven point cloud digitizing and single-point probing devices in industrial manufacturing applications is expanding into the production areas, as these technologies have demonstrated their capability to maximize productivity, quality, and profit
“Fiscal year 2013 was a banner year for InnovMetric, and we are pleasantly surprised by the robust growth of PolyWorks sales in all key geographic markets,” said Marc Soucy, President of InnovMetric. “Thanks to the constant concern of our management team with ensuring lean and efficient processes, our organization was prepared and ready to seize the new business opportunities at hand.”
