SANTA CLARA, Calif. — (BUSINESS WIRE) — May 13, 2014Analogix Semiconductor, Inc., is announcing the second annual SlimPort Developers Summit, featuring SlimPort® Pro, its one-chip solution for connectivity of audio, video, data and charging for today’s mobile ecosystem.

The one-day event features industry experts addressing current trends and the future of mobile device connectivity, covering topics such as:

The audience will be introduced to SlimPort® Pro, the ultimate convergence of Display, Audio, Data and Charging, simultaneously enabling Full HD or higher resolution display, up to eight-channels of immersive audio and data transfer at USB High-Speed rate up to 480 Mbps (megabits per second) over the existing 5-pin micro-USB connector and future USB connectors on mobile devices.

SlimPort-enabled phones, tablets and notebooks connect to an ecosystem of accessories that extend the experience of mobile devices to gaming, dazzling UHD home theater entertainment and home/office computing.

“64-bit application processors are now becoming available, equaling the processing capability of notebook computers. Analogix has implemented a SlimPort® Adopters Program (SAP) that defines the certification requirements and provides certification and testing services to ensure that SlimPort-enabled devices interoperate.
