A busy April ahead for the Polygonica team
A busy April approaches the Polygonica team, with 4 exhibitions to look forward to and much ground to cover. We are visiting South Korea, the U.S. and some slightly closer to home visits to exhibitions in Warwick and Derby.
The additive manufacturing users group (AMUG) annual conference is the first of four exhibitions that the Polygonica team are exhibiting at during the month that lies ahead.
From April 6 – 10 the conference will take place, in Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A. and over the 5-day period there is plenty to do. Including presentations and workshops that cover many aspects of the additive manufacturing industry and a whole variety of companies displaying their latest technologies in the sector.
This is a chance for our team to showcase our latest release of Polygonica software, Polygonica v1.1. A version of the solid modelling software toolkit used for processing polygon meshes, which now includes the handling of very large solids and support for colours. Full details on Polygonica v1.1 are here

The next event on our calendar is SIMTOS 2014, this is running from April 9 – 13 and based in Seoul, South Korea. This is an international machine tool show and will include all of the latest technology in this industry. Both MachineWorks and Polygonica will be showcasing their latest releases to the machine tool world from hall 9, stand F30. With one day to rest, the team are then off to Develop3D live. An exhibition and conference based at the Warwick Arts Centre, UK. Running for one day on the 15th of April where the Polygonica team will be manning stand 42.
Develop3D live will feature the top design, engineering and manufacturing companies with the latest technologies to help advance your businesses. Talks and workshops have a major role in this event. Visitors will be able to network with both exhibitors and speakers from leading companies such as Dyson, Autodesk, SpaceClaim, LightWork Design and many more will be giving some unmissable talks. We finish April this year with The Engineering Simulation Show. Hosted in the Derby Roundhouse, UK, this historical building is the world’s first and oldest surviving railway roundhouse. The show is on the 23rd of April and it starts promptly at 09:00am. There will be members of our team on stand IR10 all day long, so feel free to pop by at any point for a chat. Polygonica will be amongst 60 exhibitors showcasing their latest technology to the 1000’s of attendees, who come from many different sectors within the industry but all share the same engagement and interest in the use of engineering simulation software. The exhibition side of the show allows software developers to show product demos offering a great setting for gathering information and seeking opportunities.
The Engineering Simulation Show does also have a large focus on the lectures, with an extremely comprehensive selection of talks, attendees will have plenty to listen, learn and enquire about. More information on the Engineering Simulation Show can be found at
