Intratech Subsidiary Releases Three New Innovative Products for 3D PDF
Sisters, OR, USA – March 31, 2014 – 3D APPS LLC, a U.S. subsidiary of Korean technology company Intratech and 3D PDF Consortium member company, announced today the release of not one, but three new apps for working with 3D PDF files. These three new programs, available immediately, are the first released from the newly established division located in Irvine, CA.
3D APPS solutions are to provide 3D data exchange tools including 3D PDF Exporter for Autodesk® Navisworks®, Exchange for RVM to 3D PDF/DWF, and 3D PDF to NWC/DWF.
The first of these new applications is targeted to the users of the Navisworks application for plant design and heavy construction. The 3D APPS 3D PDF Exporter for Navisworks works within the native application by exporting selected portions or entire models from Navisworks to 3D PDF, as well as allowing other data such as clash detection and property information to be included.
For users of the AVEVA PDMS application, 3D APPS Exchange for RVM to 3D PDF/DWF application allows the PDMS users to convert RVM files into 3D PDF or DWF without the need to make use of the PDMS software itself. Entire designs or selected portions can be published into a single 3D PDF/DWF, which can also include the hierarchy of the design, object properties and other data.
While many developers have focused only on how to generate 3D PDF from native models, 3D APPS LLC has taken a very innovative approach by releasing an app that consumes 3D PDF files to support design reviews and project management. 3D APPS Exchange for 3D PDF to NWC/DWF software takes 3D PDFs generated from any design application such as Intergraph SP3D and creates a NWC or DWF file that can be used in project review software such as Autodesk Navisworks or Design Review. All of the data within the 3D PDF is imported into the specified project review application.
