March 21, 2014 -- The new release of WorkNC from Vero Software is being premiered at the Paris Industrie 2014 Exhibition.
WorkNC V23 continues the development of finishing toolpaths, which was completely revised in the previous version. Nicolas Lepetit, CAD/CAM Development Manager says: “This development has continued by focusing on the precision and fluidity of cutter trajectories along with component finish quality of its Remachining toolpaths.”
In addition, V23 optimises the machining environment by introducing a toolpath transition feature. This allows transitions between any toolpaths in the same project to be managed in WorkNC, giving the operator full control on the NC machine.
Control is further enhanced by a new collision detection management module.
Pre-CAM file processing is now five times faster, and memory requirements five times smaller. And for WorkNC CAD, modifications can now be made to the STL file during the preparation phase.
A number of finished products machined with WorkNC will be on display at the booth, including a Spiderman head, a solar powered boat, and Audi A1 automotive components.
With more than 25,000 buyers and opinion leaders expected at the exhibition between March 30 and April 4, WorkNC, Nicolas Lepetit says it is the ideal showcase to demonstrate how the software can enhance manufacturers’ competitiveness and industrial performance. “We will also be showing WorkXplore 3D V4, WorkNC Dental V4 and the new WorkPLAN Solution V5.”
In addition, visitors to booth 5T85 at the biggest tradeshow in France, will see live machining demonstrations of the WorkNC Robot module driving a Staubli TX90 Robot to polish a steel part.
The Robot module, which was launched last year, is designed to control robots, offering important cost reductions when machining large parts. This is achieved through rapid toolpath programming as well as eliminating time-consuming learning cycles, commonly associated with these machines. All WorkNC toolpaths can be deployed for machining, hardening, welding and polishing operations with a robot, and the kinematics are immediately verified by the module’s dedicated simulation, guaranteeing collision-free programs.
Part of the Vero Software Group, WorkNC is a leading CNC software for surface or solid models in mold, die and tooling businesses for 2 to 5-axis CNC programming, providing customers with productivity, reliability and flexibility. Improving these attributes in any company will help increase profitability. Vero has direct offices in the UK, Italy, France, Japan, USA, Brazil, Netherlands and China, while supplying products to more than 45 countries through its wholly owned subsidiaries and reseller network.
