March 20, 2014 -- Booth number D48 in Hall 7 at this years Hannover Messe will be the venue for the formal unveiling of Visionary Render immersive Virtual Reality (VR) software from Virtalis. Visionary Render has been commercially available only since the beginning of 2014 and Hannover Messe will be the first public event Virtalis is using to display the softwares capabilities.
Virtalis MD, David Cockburn-Price, said: Visionary Render delivers VR capabilities to CAD users and benefits throughout the product lifecycle and you dont have to be a VR expert to use it. Consequently, Visionary Render allows users to easily interact with and immerse themselves in their data on a human scale, to collaborate with others in a single VR environment and to tap into the benefits that flow from those activities throughout the product lifecycle.
Visionary Render allows users to access and experience a real-time, interactive and immersive VR environment created from huge 3D datasets. Users can work alone, in small groups, or collaborate with distant colleagues in a common virtual environment to perform detailed design reviews, rehearse in-depth training tasks, validate maintenance procedures or verify assembly and manufacturing processes.
Virtalis Technology Director, Andrew Connell, said: Visionary Render allows the importing and visualising of million-plus part plus CAD datasets enabling full immersion within the VR environment. No other software can do what Visionary Render can. It has been designed solely with the 3D environment in mind by Virtalis world-famous development team and has been used in-house for application developments for more than five years. It has been tested as a commercial product with extensive support from experienced commercial beta testers and early adopters.
Visionary Render delivers advanced rendering in real-time with ease of importing from a range of data sources, maintaining naming, hierarchies and the all-important metadata. Not only that, but CAD is visualised on immersive human-scale, via collaborative VR display systems, such as the Virtalis ActiveWorks portfolio. Visionary Render enhances working practices and builds on investments that companies have already made in digital design assets and people.
Key Benefits of Visionary Render:
- Interactive and immersive capability enhances communication and understanding
- Unique 3D semi-transparent User Interface reinforces the 3D
- Handle and manage huge and complex CAD data sources seamlessly
- Collaborate in a single VR environment Globally
- Reduce load times significantly
- Cluster aware for increased performance
- Collision detection for the entire model enhances realism and improves understanding
