Interfathom has released TaskMerlin v. 5.2, a flexible Windows project management application that tracks projects from simple to-do lists to complex collaborative projects. The latest version of TaskMerlin is fully integrated with Google Calendar and Google Tasks, enabling entrepreneurs and managers to view and update schedules and tasks on their smartphone or tablet.
Version 5.2 also delivers complete integration with Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Azure, allowing global business teams to connect to a self-hosted or cloud-hosted central database. The Professional Edition of TaskMerlin makes it easy for project managers to use Gantt charts to track the project's critical path and respond to interruptions and delays that affect the project's schedule. Gantt charts are created automatically as project information is added. Editing of tasks is done directly on the Gantt chart, with new dependencies and due dates reflected immediately on the screen.
In addition to Gantt charts, TaskMerlin makes it simple to share task lists, schedules, notes, and project plans. The software has built-in appointment calendars and a powerful reminders system. With its emphasis on flexibility, TaskMerlin provides customized tracking screens and reports. Project managers can create user-defined fields, and rename fields to make them more meaningful.
