January 15, 2014 -- SOVZOND Company is pleased to invite you for the participation in one of the significant events in the sphere of Remote Sensing and GIS - The II International Forum “Integrated Geospatial Solutions - The Future of Information Technologies”, which will be held on April 23 to 25, 2014 in high-class Atlas Park-Hotel. The organizer of the Forum is SOVZOND Company - Russia's leading integrator in the field of GIS and space monitoring. As a tradition, the Forum will consist of two conferences:
VIII International Conference: “Remote Sensing — the Synergy of High Technologies”
II International Conference: “GIS — Integration Technologies of the Future”
Besides, the exhibition “Engineering and Technology” will take place concurrently the business program, on the second day of the Forum will be summarized the results of the competition “The best projects in GIS and remote sensing”.
Since the previous Forum, important developments have happened in geospatial industry. Development and implementation of federal and regional GIS is actively continuing in Russia , more and more subjects of the Russian Federation develops and implements its own geo-portals, greatly facilitating access to spatial information and analysis for different categories of users. The development of regional spatial data infrastructures facilitates it. Positive processes are taking place in the Russian segment of the industry of Remote Sensing. Unfortunately, Russia once was the leading power in the field of Remote Sensing, at present has significantly lost its position. However, the situation is beginning to improve. In 2013, Russia launched an very high resolution satellite “Resurs-P”, for the second year running the satellite of high resolution “Canopus-V” has been successfully operating. By 2015, the Russian orbital constellation of RS satellites is supposed to include 19 satellites and 33 units by 2020. In order to build a successful remote sensing industry, you need to determine which satellites are necessary for the country, which has the global trends in the market and what devices will be launched soon. In solving some problems (monitoring of pipelines, power lines, etc.) aerial imagery from UAV - actively growing segment of geoinformatics - can compete with satellite imagery. These issues will be drawn special attention at the Forum.
The International Forum “Integrated Geospatial Solutions — The Future of Information Technologies”, gathered last year, more than 300 participants from 17 countries, is one of the most significant events in the industry. It provides an excellent opportunity for professionals sharing experiences and new knowledge. We invite you to take part in the Forum 2014!
