As service providers look to offer a wider range of services to their residential customers, the smart gateway, particularly its ability to manage and process content, has evolved into a key enabler for these new service offerings. One of the platforms Ikanos will demonstrate at CES is designed specifically to address this growing need, with a focus on media processing and distribution throughout the home. In this demonstration, an Ikanos partner media processor complements an Ikanos Fusiv® gateway processor with integrated VDSL2 for a feature-rich media gateway platform supporting aggregate (combined upstream and downstream) WAN data rates reaching over 300Mbps, sufficient for delivering multiple streams of ultra HD-resolution video.
Further building on the leading position of the Ikanos Fusiv® gateway processors, Ikanos will also demonstrate its cost-optimized, turnkey home-gateway reference design based on the Fusiv® Vx183 processor with integrated inSIGHT BXM in-home monitoring and diagnostics. inSIGHT gives consumers and carrier personnel an intuitive user interface that enables quick, local or remote resolution of noise interference and wiring problems such as improperly connected microfilters, wire cuts, or corroded wiring, minimizing the need for service calls or truck rolls, and resulting in lower carrier OpEx and an improved consumer Quality of Experience.
"Ikanos' Fusiv® processors have been deployed by Tier One carriers worldwide," said Omid Tahernia, president and CEO of Ikanos. "With rising service provider demand for higher performance, support for a wider range of applications, and an enhanced level of security and diagnostics capability, we believe our Fusiv® gateway processors are uniquely positioned to be the gateway solution of choice for service providers, as they plan their next-generation multi-service gateways."

Safe Harbor Statement
Some of the statements included in this press release constitute forward-looking statements within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. You should not place undue reliance on these statements. These forward-looking statements include statements that reflect the current views of our senior management with respect to future events with respect to our business and our industry in general. Statements that include the words "expect," "intend," "plan," "believe," "anticipate," "estimate," and similar statements of a future or forward-looking nature identify forward-looking statements.
Forward-looking statements address matters that involve risks and uncertainties. Accordingly, there are or will be important factors that could cause our actual results to differ materially from those indicated in these statements. We believe that these factors include, but are not limited to, the following: that the services that service providers offer to their customers, currently or in the future, will be supported by our products; our ability to deliver full production releases of our newer products and the acceptance of those products by our customers and telecommunications service providers; the ability of our software products, and in particular inSIGHT BXM, to minimize service calls or truck rolls, lower carrier operating expenses, and improve the end customer's quality of experience; macroeconomic conditions which may cause our customers to defer purchasing plans or cancel any purchasing plans altogether despite successful design wins; the continued demand by telecommunications service providers for our specific xDSL semiconductor products; the failure of telecommunications service providers to implement deployment plans on schedule, or at all, despite increased performance results; our ability to generate demand and close transactions for the sale of our products; competition in the markets in which we operate; and the fact that the products we sell may not satisfy shifting customer demand or compete successfully with our competitors' products. For a more detailed discussion of how these and other risks and uncertainties could cause our actual results to differ materially from those indicated in our forward-looking statements, see our reports filed with SEC (available at www.sec.gov), including our Registration Statement on Form S-1 filed on August 23, 2013 and subsequently amended.
