Delegates at Aphacam’s five user group meetings throughout England, Scotland and Ireland heard it is now Vero Group’s fastest growing brand.
UK & EMEA Sales Manager Michael Pettit highlighted that with four direct offices and 50 resellers around the world, Alphacam was widely used globally in woodworking applications such as joinery and panel products...along with metal applications for general sub contracting, medical and aerospace sectors and shop floor programming.
With Alphacam seeing double digit growth for both of the last two years, he told delegates: “It’s official. Vero’s fastest growing product is Alphacam.”
He said the Vero Group has more than 575 employees, including over 150 developers. “Vero’s goals are to establish ourselves as the No.1 CAM-centric global software supplier, to develop the best products in the world, to have the most satisfied customers and to have more customers on support than any other company.”
Presentations detailed Alphacam’s very latest routing, milling and profiling enhancements, with a special emphasis on how it has created a unique niche within the turning industry with support for multiple turrets and multiple spindles with a live B-axis.
General Manager Nick Spurrett explains: “Many CAM systems struggle when there is a need to support multiple turrets and spindles that all require synchronisation. This is a collision rich environment and we are able to simulate everything using the internally developed simulation, all in one, easy-to-use product. Alphacam is a unique CAM solution with an open architecture and flexible Application Program Interface. Many companies have optimised the performance of Alphacam by developing macros and programs that are bespoke to them.”
And he says, with over 150 customers attending the user group meetings, the five events provided an excellent networking opportunity and platform for companies to share their knowledge and experience.
