ATLANTA, Oct. 31, 2013 — (PRNewswire) — Five Point Partners, LLC, a full-service consulting services firm serving the utility, mining, revenue management and transportation industries, announced that the Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB), a customer-owned water and electric utility serving 86,000 customers in Eugene, Oregon, selected Five Point to implement Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management and Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management to greatly enhance EWEB's Asset Management and Service Delivery capabilities and performance. The project will also include delivery of GIS integration through GeoNexus Technologies' GeoWorx solution and advanced asset lifecycle modeling and analysis through Riva Modeling's DS product.
The implementation and integration of the new applications with key legacy EWEB systems will replace numerous aging and custom systems. The goal of the delivered solution is to fully integrate core business processes; automate scheduling, dispatching and processing of field work; streamline crucial business functions; and reduce redundancies.
Regarding the importance of the Oracle Utilities Work and Asset Management project, Sheila Crawford, Enterprise Program Manager said, "EWEB has come to the point where an enterprise solution for this critical function in the company is necessary, and the Oracle Utilities solutions we've selected will help move us forward in both process improvement and technology advancement. Five Point's collaborative approach, in-depth industry and product knowledge, and proven track record made them the best choice for the project."
"We will be leveraging our best practice methodologies and working closely with Oracle, GeoNexus and Riva to successfully complete this multi-product implementation and provide EWEB with an enterprise platform to successfully execute work and asset management functions," said Bobby Batson, Five Point COO.
"We're pleased to be working under Five Point's leadership to deliver a solution that will help EWEB optimize its investments in GIS technologies, while enhancing the service they provide to their customers," Skip Heise, President, GeoNexus Technologies, said.
"The integrated solution provides EWEB the ability to effectively manage day-to-day operations and leverage their data to model asset performance and forecast key business metrics," said David Woodbury, Riva Modeling COO and VP of Client Services.
"We're confident that the successful delivery of the project will enhance EWEB's ability to respond to market changes and meet the evolving needs of their business and their customers," said Richard Charles, President, Five Point.
