Avineon Adds Joel Campbell to Senior Management Team

McLean, Virginia – July 31, 2013 – Avineon, Inc., a successful provider of information technology, geospatial, and engineering support services, today announced the hiring of two new vice presidents to support Heesun Robertson in her new role as Chief Operating Officer. Effective immediately, the new management structure will enable the company to serve existing customers more effectively and expand its market presence.

First, Joel Campbell has joined Avineon as Vice President – Commercial Systems. He takes over from Gary Wilkison, who recently retired after an illustrious career and more than twelve years of successful management of Avineon’s commercial operations. Mr. Wilkison will remain with the company in an advisory capacity to ensure a seamless transition and continue offering Avineon’s customers the benefit of his expertise.

Mr. Campbell has over twenty years of experience in the geospatial and IT industries, as well as more than five years of work in government service. He has worked for companies ranging from major GIS software providers to data collection and distribution firms, providing broad experience in the geospatial industry. After successfully leading a variety of software and services companies to expansive growth, he most recently served as a consultant helping businesses leverage the skills of their existing staff to deliver greater value to their customers. Mr. Campbell will now be fully committed to applying his talents to Avineon’s commercial lines of business.

Second, Avineon hired Eric Martin as Vice President – Federal Systems to assume executive responsibility for government customer sales and operations. Mr. Martin has over twenty years of experience in government contracting and has played an executive management role in a number of companies providing IT services to U.S. government agencies such as the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, Justice, Treasury, Education, and Housing and Urban Development. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute with a Master of Arts in Economics and George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts.

Karlu Rambhala, Avineon’s President and CEO, stated, “Together with Heesun Robertson’s appointment as Chief Operating Officer, hiring Joel and Eric opens an exciting new chapter for Avineon. I founded the company in 1992 with the objective of delivering high quality services to a broad base of commercial and federal customers. The new members of our management team share this commitment and I look forward to seeing their contributions to our organization.”
