EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – July 23, 2013 – AWR Corporation, the innovation leader in high-frequency EDA software, announces that as part of its continuing commitment to fostering the careers of future RF/microwave engineers worldwide and specifically in Asia Pacific, the company is sponsoring the first-ever student design competition at Xidian University in Xi’an, China.
Xidian University is a Chinese national key university, which, under the Ministry of Education, has been approved to provide engineering education and training in the fields of information and electronics. Prizes for the competition winners will include both cash and in-kind software gifts. Papers must be submitted by September 30, 2013 and presentation of awards will take place in November. AWR sponsored a very successful student design competition in China at Nanjing Postal University and SouthEast University earlier this year, as well as the student design poster competition at the IEEE International Wireless Symposium 2013 held in Beijing in April 2013.
