Paramach Takes CAD/CAM to the Cloud with Public Beta launch

~ World’s first fully-integrated CAD/CAM web application reduces costs, brings professional tools to your internet browser ~

COVENTRY, June 25, 2013 – Paramach Ltd, a UK-based software applications company, today announced the public Beta launch of Paramach, the world’s first fully-integrated CAD/CAM web application. Paramach features a complete set of professional CNC programming tools in a single browser-based environment, which removes many restrictions of traditional desktop software.

“Paramach opens up an exciting new world of possibilities by giving users access to high quality CAD/CAM tools and their project data in any PC or Mac web browser,” said David Currie, Managing Director, Paramach Ltd. “While other CAD/CAM software developers remain reluctant to abandon existing business models Paramach has been designed from the ground-up to take full advantage of the latest cloud-based technologies. Mechanical engineers have lacked a truly compelling reason to adopt cloud technologies thus far, but we believe that Paramach can bring about a paradigm shift in the industry.”

Paramach CAD/CAM offer significant cost savings for businesses of all sizes and removes entry barriers for smaller companies. The software’s subscription-based pricing model ($49.99 per user/month) eliminates the need for large up-front investment, by offering a flexible cloud-based solution that requires less-costly IT infrastructure. Paramach requires no installation, maintenance, backups  or upgrades, further reducing IT costs.

The software’s web-based environment also facilitates powerful new functionality, which frees the user from just one desk or location. The application can be accessed in all popular PC or Mac OS web browsers, allowing users to work at any computer. Paramach's web applications and data storage are deployed and managed using the Windows Azure cloud platform, whose  global network of reliable, secure data centres allows users to access their projects wherever an internet connection is available, 24 hours a day. Team collaboration across multiple locations is enabled by intuitive project management features.

Alongside its cloud-based benefits, Paramach features an easy-to-use interface and all of the tools expected of a high quality CAD/CAM solution. These include powerful geometry creation, accurate tool path strategies and error-free NC programs for both milling and turning operations, as well as fully customizable post processors and powerful scripting in a proprietary CAD# programming environment. Paramach’s compatibility with Mac OS web browsers represents the first time that a mid-level  CAM software solution has been made available for the platform.
