Forming Technologies Announces FASTBLANK® for PTC Creo Parametric™

Burlington, ON, CANADA — June 10, 2013Forming Technologies Inc. (FTI) the industry’s leading developer of solutions for formability, simulation, blank development, and costing of sheet metal components, announced today the release of FASTBLANK for PTC Creo Parametric design software FASTBLANK for PTC Creo® 2.0 provides PTC Creo Parametric users with a fully integrated tool for developing optimal blank shapes for complex sheet metal components.

FASTBLANK for PTC Creo Parametric dramatically improves formability, product quality, and significantly reduces both material costs and the number of stamping trials required in the tooling prove-out stage. In addition to blank development, FASTBLANK for PTC Creo Parametric also provides a color contour plot indicating the thickening and thinning that result from the forming process. It accounts for material stretch and deformation as well as bending, and can flatten any PTC Creo 2.0 geometry.
