For 30-plus years, IC designers have relied on MOSIS for an efficient, affordable way to prototype and volume-produce their devices. MOSIS provides access to a wide range of semiconductor processes offered by many different foundries worldwide. A variety of design flows (digital, analog and mixed-signal) can be used with a broad array of CAD tools, technology files, design kits, libraries and IP to create designs for processes accessed by MOSIS.
"Our customers require dedicated RF design flow support to handle the design challenges of today's sophisticated RF and microwave designs," said Wes Hansford, Director at MOSIS. "Our foundry partners, like IBM, now offer a broad selection of ADS design kits. By providing our customers with access to these kits, they can benefit from Agilent's proven expertise in RF and microwave design."
"With many of our customers working through MOSIS to access Multi-Project Wafer (MPW) runs, we are very pleased to collaborate with the organization," said Juergen Hartung, foundry program manager of Agilent EEsof EDA. "The popularity of the ADS platform for silicon-based RFIC design has grown tremendously over the years and this is another important milestone in ADS PDK support for our mutual customers."
The Agilent collaboration is just the latest for MOSIS as it broadens its services to address leading-edge technology needs. Last month, the organization teamed up with imec, Tyndall and ePIXfab to offer advanced silicon photonics technology to MOSIS customers.
