May 16, 2013 - CAM company, OPEN MIND Technologies AG has organized a dedicated tire machining workshop, to be held at Hermle AG in Gosheim, Germany on 19 June 2013. The complete mould machining process will be covered, from the CAD file through the programming to the finished milled mould, with plenty of practical information and examples around the milling of tire moulds and models. Delegates will be able to enjoy a combination of lectures and practical examples during the planned live demonstrations. OPEN MIND says its hyperMILL software allows mould segments manufacturers to reduce their machining time by up to 50%. Host Hermle is a partner of OPEN MIND and a manufacturer of highly dynamic machine tools. Other partners involved in the event, which will include a presentation from one of OPEN MIND's well-known tire customers, include Emuge Franken and Heidenhain.
