EGS, Italian leader company in the production of 3D scanners and in the design of CAD/CAM software solutions for the OEM market, will participate in the 22nd edition of LABDAY WEST and, for the occasion, will raffle for visitors their DScan, the structured light scanner for dental laboratories.

BOLOGNA , 6th May 2013 - EGS, Italian leader company in the production of 3D scanners and in the design of CAD/CAM software solutions for the dental industry, will participate in the 22nd edition of LABDAY WEST 2013, scheduled on the dates of 10th and 11th May 2013 in Garden Grove, California.

The company will show their latest products disclosed at IDS 2013 (International Dental Show) and offer a full DentalSuite as a prize for visitors who will take part in the draw. With this initiative, EGS gives professionals the opportunity to experience at first hand the components of DentalSuite, a package that covers the entire process from scanning to design with the DentalCad software.

At the booth it will be possible to view and try DScan3, the latest structured light dental scanner: equipped with the blue LED technology is able to capture even objects with semi-reflective surfaces, it is designed by EGS to ensure a more precise and accurate scanning. The scanner can use 3.2 Mpix cameras and USB 3.0 interfaces, providing a data transfer speed that can exceed 25 fps.

DScan 3, like its predecessor DScan 2, is also available with an integrated PC; this is the "Plus" version. DScan "Plus" is completely Plug & Play, requiring only a mouse and a monitor to be operational.
In addition to DScan3, EGS will show Digital Smile System (DSS), the first Digital Smile Design software that allows to design of both functional and aesthetic reconstruction of the smile. It is a system providing a diagnostic and prosthetic virtual analysis, customized through the acquisition of the patient's face photographs. These are then processed by means of commercial and natural teeth libraries. Moreover, the software also allows the patient to preview the final result.
