zSpace, Inc. Showcases Immersive 3D Platform at the 2013 Game Developers Conference

SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- Mar 27, 2013 -- zSpace, Inc., a technology provider that is revolutionizing the future of human-computer interaction, today announced it will demonstrate its interactive 3D platform zSpace during the 2013 Game Developers Conference (GDC). Produced by the UBM Tech Game Network, GDC brings together producers, game designers, audio professionals, business decision-makers and others involved in the development of interactive games to exchange ideas and shape the future of the industry. The conference will take place in San Francisco, CA, from March 25-29, 2013.

zSpace, Inc. will demonstrate its immersive 3D system in the Unity Technologies booth, #1002. As a partner of Unity Technologies, zSpace supports the Unity multi-platform engine and development tools, allowing Unity serious game developers to create simulations and visualizations with increased realism and precision that can't be achieved on a 2D screen.

The Company also announced the addition of Charles Huang, CEO of Green Throttle Games, Inc. and co-founder of the Guitar Hero video game franchise, and Dirk Schunk, CEO of Raptor Gaming (acquired by Corsair in 2012), to its Gaming Advisory Board. As experienced gaming industry veterans, Huang and Schunk will play an instrumental role in ensuring zSpace meets the needs of today's game developers. In April, Huang will also participate in zCon, zSpace, Inc.'s first developers conference, and will lead a session on what's next for the gaming industry.

"The level of interaction made possible through zSpace is remarkable, and there's serious potential for the platform to bring a new level of realism to gaming," said Charles Huang, CEO, Green Throttle Games, Inc. "Having been around the block in this industry, I look forward to collaborating with the Company and seeing how the platform's capabilities improve game development."

"The rapid evolution of gaming has influenced developers to crave new, innovative tools that can bring even more realism to their work," said Paul Kellenberger, CEO, zSpace, Inc. "Charles Huang and Dirk Schunk both contribute tremendous expertise to our team, and their participation on our advisory board validates the potential zSpace can bring to the gaming industry. We look forward to helping developers embrace the platform and discover how immersive 3D can significantly enhance their creative processes."
