New Mobile App for eSilicon Access Production Management System

Supply-chain-tracking smartphone app monitors semiconductor WIP from PO through shipment

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — February 14, 2013 — eSilicon Corporation, the largest independent semiconductor design and manufacturing services provider, today announced that the eSilicon Access® production management system is available in a mobile edition for iPhone and Android™ smartphones. eSilicon customers can now track semiconductor supply chain activity from purchase order (PO) through device shipment on their phones.

The  eSilicon Access tool is a patented production management system that links to eSilicon’s global supply chain and delivers integrated, up-to-date work in process (WIP) data to eSilicon customers in a clear, easy-to-use display. Key features of the mobile edition include:

  • Global supply chain activity from PO through shipment
  • Integrated view of WIP from fab schedule to finished goods
  • Detailed order status and delivery schedule information
  • Shipment details with lot numbers, date code, and airway bill number
  • Daily or weekly email subscriptions for Excel reports
  • Reports are updated four times per day

“We rely on our customer advisory board for feedback on eSilicon Access improvements. In reviewing our roadmap, the advisory board ranked a mobile supply chain tracking app at the top of the list, so we bumped up the priority of our mobile edition,” said Naidu Annamaneni, eSilicon VP, global IT. “Additional features currently available on the eSilicon Access web application, such as on-time delivery by product, will be added to the mobile edition in upcoming releases.”

“Having a production management system in my phone is a very powerful communication tool,” said Robert Dunnigan, Ikanos senior VP of operations.  “Wherever I am, whomever I’m talking to, I’ve got fresh, integrated data on the global supply chain at the touch of a button. I can answer questions on the spot—people don’t have to wait for part status information.”
