The United States Census Bureau Data Visualization Project (International Mapping)

Ellicott City, MD, January 16, 2013 – Principal cartographer Alex Tait, with International Mapping Associates, is excited to introduce the U.S. Census Bureau’s weekly Data Visualization Series.

In 2007, International Mapping and the Census Bureau collaborated to produce the Census Atlas of the United States. In 2012, they teamed up once again to develop interactive electronic data visualizations to help illustrate historic and current U.S. Census statistics. These graphics are presented in a fun and unique manner, making them easily accessible by all age groups.

The interactive visualizations are updated weekly, and can be found on the official Census website: www.census.gov/dataviz. Alex Tait and International Mapping Associates also regularly tweet about new Census visualizations and other topics (on Twitter @TaitMaps and @Intl_Mapping.)
