EXTON, Pa. – Jan. 10, 2013 – Bentley Systems, Incorporated, the leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for sustaining infrastructure, today announced that Dr. Alfredo Castrejón, Bentley territory vice president for Latin America, was once again named among the top 100 leaders of Mexico’s energy industry for 2012 by Petróleo & Energía – one of the leading magazines focused on the oil, gas, and energy industries in Mexico. Castrejón’s ranking was 15 in a list that also included Jordy Herrera, Mexico’s secretary of energy; Enrique Hidalgo, president of ExxonMobil Ventures Mexico; Juan José Suárez Coppel, former president of Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX); and Alberto de la Fuente, president of Shell Mexico.
Castrejón’s broad experience in the energy field includes more than 12 years working with and advising energy and other organizations throughout Latin America to ensure each has the right software and services to successfully sustain its infrastructure. During this period, Castrejón:
- introduced computer-based simulations of processes to key public and private energy organizations in the region,
- provided consultation on the use of solar as an alternative energy source, as well as on pollution dispersion in bodies of water and the atmosphere,
- served as a technical advisor for some of the most important power generation companies in the region, including PEMEX and CFE.
“Alfredo’s insight, in-depth knowledge, and broad experience continue to place him in the company of some of the leading executives of Mexico’s oil and gas industry,” said John Riddle, Bentley senior vice president, building and plant sales. “His considered opinion on important energy initiatives is always in high demand. I congratulate Alfredo on this well-deserved recognition and for being a valuable member of the Bentley team.”
