Axium has been acquired by 2ndWave Software

Portland-based developer of engineering and architecture software hires new CEO and CFO. Current CEO Alan Mills and President Cathy Mills Retire.

Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) January 09, 2013 --  Axium, a leading developer of project management and accounting software for engineering and architecture firms, announced today that Chris Heim and Dan Mayleben have joined the company as CEO and CFO, respectively. All other existing members of the leadership team will remain in their current positions.

As part of this transition, the Mills sold the majority of their ownership stake to a group consisting of Heim, Mayleben, existing management and 2ndWave Software.

“In Chris and Dan, we found new partners who valued and appreciated our company culture and strong operating track record while providing experience in leading our existing team to improve our product and help our clients become more successful,” said Alan Mills, former CEO. “Their proven track record helping middle-market software companies achieve superior growth and value creation set them apart as ideal partners to take Axium to the next level.”

The acquisition, which was completed December 2012, reflects Axium’s continued commitment and focus on providing industry-leading solutions to help its clients grow.

“Axium is a vertical market leader with talented and dedicated employees, unmatched solutions, a loyal customer base and significant ongoing organic growth,” said Heim, Axium CEO. “There’s a terrific track record of Axium taking care of its customers and improving the software solution Ajera every year. When we got the opportunity to lead this company, we jumped on it.”

Heim said Axium will “remain devoted to enhancing and supporting Ajera from its headquarters in Portland.”

“We have one main goal during this transition – to keep our employees and customers happy,” said Mayleben. “We want our clients to know their investment in Ajera is solid and we are dedicated to being a long-term partner. We also want every employee at Axium to know they’re valued and needed to help Axium continue to grow and be successful.”
