October 24, 2012 - CCE, a leading interoperability technology provider, will launch its latest innovation, OfficeLink, at PLM Innovation Americas 2012,being held at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort (Stone Mountain, GA) on October 25 & 26, 2012.
CCE’s OfficeLink is a CAD-independent standalone tool to create 3D-Rich Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) based Engineering Workflow document templates. These templates can then be linked to 3D CAD models using CCE’s CADLink, a Microsoft Office plug-in. Documents created by OfficeLink/CADLink are “live” in that, any time a linked 3D CAD model is updated, the changes are automatically reflected in the referencing engineering workflow document.
OfficeLink can read data from all major CAD and PLM systems including CATIA, NX, Creoand SolidWorks without requiring a license of the respective CAD system. All major standard formats including IGES, STEP and JT are also supported. OfficeLink can also access PLM attributes from systems like Windchill, Teamcenter and Aras.
“We are very excited to launch our newest product OfficeLink at PLM Innovation.” said Vinay Wagle, CCE’s VP of Sales & Marketing. “With the increasing adoption of Model Based Definition in manufacturing, OfficeLink provides a critical tool to an organization’s Sales,Marketing, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing departments to enhance commonly used engineering documents with live CAD data.” added Vinay.
