IMH, Maradin, Rafael, SoftMEMS, Technion, Tel Aviv University and Tower Jazz to present
MONROVIA, California – October 23, 2012 – Tanner EDA, the catalyst for innovation for the design, layout and verification of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs), and Israeli distributor New ARTech Technologies will hold a day-long conference on micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) in Israel on 30 October 2012. This conference will feature presentations by Tanner EDA customers and partners along with briefs on Tanner EDA and SoftMEMS tools. SoftMEMS provides the CAD design environment used for the development and test of MEMS products.
More MEMS designs are created with Tanner EDA tools than with any other EDA tools. Six Tanner EDA customers will give presentations at the conference and technical sessions will be held on Tanner EDA MEMS design tools and SoftMEMS tools. Presenting companies include Israel MEMS House (IMH), Maradin, Rafael, and TowerJazz along with Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) and Tel Aviv University.

About SoftMEMS
SoftMEMS CAD Design Environment is used for the development and test of MEMS products. The tools are open-platform software products that support leading electronic design automation (EDA) environments used for integrated circuit (IC) development. Their tools allow data sharing among system designers, IC designers, process engineers and MEMS experts, permitting early and consistent design checks among multidisciplinary teams and allowing designers to easily develop new MEMS designs, integrate existing designs (intellectual property) into systems, and couple them with electronics. SoftMEMS design tools include MEMS Xplorer (for UNIX and HP platforms) and MEMS Pro (for the PC platform).
About New ARTech Technologies
New ARTech Technologies represents several semiconductor (system-on-chip, FPGA, and ASIC) and system companies in Israel. Partners include companies with solutions in intellectual property (IP) cores, EDA tools, design services, precision navigation and power. Since 2003, New ARTech has been helping to ensure that customers are fully equipped to meet their development and production needs together with their business objectives. The company is based in Herzelia Pituach, Israel.
About Tanner EDA
Tanner EDA provides a complete line of software solutions that catalyze innovation for the design, layout and verification of analog and mixed-signal (A/MS) integrated circuits (ICs) and MEMS. Customers are creating breakthrough applications in areas such as power management, displays and imaging, automotive, consumer electronics, life sciences, and RF devices. A low learning curve, high interoperability, and a powerful user interface improve design team productivity and enable a low total cost of ownership (TCO). Capability and performance are matched by low support requirements and high support capability as well as an ecosystem of partners that bring advanced capabilities to A/MS designs.
Founded in 1988, Tanner EDA solutions deliver just the right mixture of features, functionality and usability. The company has shipped over 33,000 licenses of its software to more than 5,000 customers in 67 countries.
