October 15, 2012 -- Spatial Insights, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of CartoUS 2012, an up-to-date, affordable nationwide mapping database ready to ship or download. Based on the US Census Bureau TIGER files just released in September, CartoUS 2012 boasts over 50 layers of enhanced and reformatted mapping data conveniently packaged into seamless layers by county, state, region, or nationwide.
The geographic layers of CartoUS 2012 include roads (primary, secondary, and local), Census boundaries (from block group and larger), metro areas, legislative and school district boundaries, water features, American Indian reservations, and ZIP code tabulation areas. Military installations, Economic Census boundaries, landmarks, and railways have also been updated. This annual update also includes the 112th Congressional District boundaries.

Formats include MapInfo ProfessionalTM TAB (with enhanced display characteristics built in) and ESRITM SHAPE file. Expedited delivery is available via ftp download. Puerto Rico and the US Territories are also available.
