DAT/EM Systems International Hires Steven D. Hamilton

Anchorage, Alaska, September 5, 2012 – DAT/EM Systems International has hired Steven D. Hamilton as an Account Manager in June 2012.

Hamilton brings over 30 years of knowledge in the geospatial profession to DAT/EM and has had the opportunity to gain experience across a broad spectrum of activities related to mapping, remote sensing, precision agriculture and GPS applications.  As a graduate student working as a camera and sensor operator at the Center for Remote Sensing at Michigan State University, Hamilton started a career that has taken him to Antarctica, India, Japan, China and the West Indies.  He has managed several photogrammetric and digital orthophoto production shops, and was instrumental in securing the first commercial DOQQ production contract with the U.S. Geological Survey.

In addition, Hamilton has been involved in using both airborne and spaceborne multi- and hyperspectral sensors for precision agriculture support in commercial markets as well as commercial earth observation image market development.  Most recently, his focus has been on GPS survey and GIS feature data collection, managing large-scale control projects in North Africa and the United States.

“Steve’s extensive technical background and working knowledge of day-to-day production operations will be valuable assets to his clients as well as to the DAT/EM staff. We gladly welcome Steve on board at DAT/EM Systems.” – Jeff Yates, DAT/EM Systems International General Manager.
